ABILENE – Abilene Christian begins the 12-team HCU Huskies Intercollegiate on Monday at the Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land.
Sydney Williams, Jiyu Han, Kate Pickrell, Manon Guille and Ryann Honea will represent the Wildcats. Honea leads that group with a stroke average of 75.3, followed by Williams and Han at 75.8, Guille at 76.4 and Pickrell at 76.9.
The Wildcats are coming off a second-place finish at the Vaqueros Invite. Delaney Martin was second at that event for ACU and Williams was fifth a one-over.
Joining ACU and Houston Christian in the field are Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State, UT Arlington, Lamar, Prairie View A&M, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas A&M-Commerce, Oklahoma City, McLennan and Odessa.
The ladies play two rounds on Monday with the final round set for Tuesday.
