CORPUS CHRISTI – Abilene Christian scored first but couldn't pull off the win, falling at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday, 6-1.

Gino D'Alessio had ACU's lone extra-base hit, an RBI double, in the first inning for a 1-0 lead.

The Cats were held to three hits with Miller Ladusau and DJ Van Atten contributing a single each.

Iain Campa took the loss, going four innings.

The teams meet again in the season finale at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
