Cats Start First Spring Season on Monday

ABILENE – Abilene Christian launches its first spring women's golf schedule on Monday and Tuesday at the Texas State Invitational in New Braunfels.
Delaney Martin, Ryann Honea, Kate Pickrell, Manon Guille and Jiyu Han make up the team for the Wildcats with Sydney Williams participating individually.
The two-day event begins Monday at Landa Park Golf Club, a par 71, 5,915-yard course.
The 15-team field includes ACU, Texas State, Incarnate Word, Oakland, Utah Valley, Drake, Murray State, Loyola, Central Michigan, Texas-Arlington, Tarleton State, Lamar, UTRGV and UTEP.
Honea led the team this fall with a 73.4 stroke average. Delaney Martin checked in at 74.2, followed by Han at 75.1, Guille at 75.5 and Pickrell at 76.3. Williams averaged 75.6 strokes in ACU's premier fall season.
ACU opened the fall with a win in its first-ever tournament, the A-Ga-Ming hosted by Central Michigan, and finished with a tie for first place in the French Broad Collegiate, hosted by North Carolina-Asheville.
