Wildcats make their national TV debut Monday night at Xavier

CINCINNATI -- The ACU Wildcats will play the first nationally televised basketball game in program history Monday night when they take on Xavier in the Cintas Center in a game broadcast by Fox Sports 1.
Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. (Abilene time) and can be heard locally on KTLT 98.1 FM and on the internet at www.the98x.com. Fox Sports 1 is channel 258 on Suddenlink cable in Abilene. The Wildcats enter the game at 2-5 on the season after beating Western New Mexico and Northern New Mexico over the weekend in San Angelo.
The Musketeers of the Big East Conference are 4-0 on the season after wins over Gardner-Webb, Tennessee, Morehead State and Miami (Ohio). The Musketeers last played on Nov. 20 in their 77-51 win over the Redhawks of Miami.
ACU's two wins over the weekend in the San Angelo Community Medical Center Classic hosted by Angelo State are the Wildcats' first back-to-back victories since they knocked off Angelo State in back-to-back Lone Star Conference games last Jan. 23 and Jan. 26, 2013.
ACU?beat the Rams in San Angelo, 59-56, on Jan. 23, and then beat them in Abilene, 82-63, on Jan. 26.
The Wildcats out-rebounded their two opponents in the tournament –- Western New Mexico and Northern New Mexico -– to make it three straight opponents that the Wildcats have out-rebounded going back to their 71-64 loss last Tuesday night at TCU.
