Biography
Returns to the court as an outside hitter for ACU after three solid seasons with the Wildcats.
2008 (Junior): Curry played in 34 of the Wildcats’ 35 matches in 2008, finishing the season with 213 kills (fourth on the team), averaging 1.94 kills per set. She was third on the team with 296 digs. She had a season-best 15 kills in an Aug. 30 win over Findlay, and had double figures in kills in seven other matches, including 11 vs. Tarleton State in the Lone Star Conference Post-Season Tournament semifinals and 10 vs. West Texas A&M in the tournament championship match.
2007 (Sophomore): Earned second-team all-LSC honors after an all-around season where she recorded 221 kills, 31 service aces, 326 digs and 22 blocks for the year. Passed the double-digit kills mark in 11 matches and posted double-doubles in eight matches where she had at least 10 kills and 10 digs. Recorded a season-high13 kills on three different occasions (Sept. 1 vs. Trinity, Sept. 1 vs. Texas A&M International, Oct. 25 vs. Southwestern Oklahoma State). She had 22 digs against Fort Hays State on Sept. 8.
2006 (Freshman): Curry played in all 29 matches and in 97 games for the Wildcats. She finished her first year on the court with 269 kills and 41 blocks. She reached double-digit kills in 14 matches, including twice reaching 17 kills (Sept. 8 against Quachita Baptist and Oct. 12 at Tarleton). Spent the 2005 season as a redshirt.
High school: Curry was a first team all-District 7-5A selection as a senior at Lamar HS. High school teammate of current ACU teammate Lauren Leone, and both were on Lamar HS team that in 2004 beat crosstown rival Arlington High School for the first time in eight years on its way to a district title.
