2008-09 (Junior)
In her first season with the Wildcats she saw action in every game playing a key role off the bench … she made a quick impression as she led ACU in scoring in a season opening win against Southern Indiana (11/15/08) … she was second on the team with an 80% mark from the free throw line … she averaged 4.2ppg and 2.5rpg
2007-08 (UT-San Antonio; Sophomore)
Played in 26 games and started three including the season opener where she posted season highs in points (23) and rebounds (11). Averaged three points and two rebounds for the season. Shot .356 from the field and had 12 blocks on the year. Named to the Southland Conference’s academic honor roll.
2006-07 (UT-San Antonio; Freshman)
Played in 26 games as a freshman and averaged 4.7 points per game and 2.6 boards per contest. She scored a season-high 15 points against Cal
State-Bakersfield and Central Arkansas. She also tallied 10 boards against UCA, giving her a double-double. Laing shot .362 from the field and 61 percent from the free-throw line. Named to the Southland Conference’s academic honor roll.
High school
Played four years of varsity ball for Wylie High School in Abilene for head coach Alan Ayers. Averaged 14 points and eight rebounds her senior season to earn all-state honors. Served as the team’s captain for her final three seasons, was an all-region honoree her last two years and was all-district her sophomore through senior years. She was an academic all-state selection as a senior and played in two all-star games following her senior year. Helped Wylie to two district titles and the Class 3A state championship game in 2006 finishing as the runner-up to China Spring.
Personal
Her parents played collegiate basketball, and her mother, Tammy Gober-Shaw, was a three-time all-America at McMurry University in Abilene. 2006 graduate of Abilene Wylie High School. Born 13 June 1988.
