
ACU Signs Veteran Transfer McCrary to 2026-27 Roster

ABILENE - Abilene Christian women's basketball strengthened its 2026-27 roster with the signing of senior forward Raimi McCrary from Incarnate Word on Monday. An Allen, Texas native, McCrary totaled over 550 points and 400 rebounds with nearly 100 assists in 88 games and three seasons with the Cardinals.
McCrary is the Wildcats' second offseason addition from the college ranks, joining Samara Morrow from College of Southern Idaho. ACU has also signed two guards from the high school class of 2026 in Salena Carrasco and Alexa Lane.
McCrary powered UIW to 50 wins over the past three years, averaging 6.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. She started 64 of 88 contests and knocked down 220 field goals at a .439 clip., including 30 three-pointers. McCrary sported an .810 mark from the free throw line and totaled 99 assists, 77 steals and 35 blocks.
McCrary guided the Cardinals to 35 Southland Conference victories and a top-four finish in the conference in each of her first two seasons. UIW qualified for the Postseason Women's National Invitation Tournament in 2024-25.
As a junior this past season, McCrary posted 7.1 points and 6.1 boards per game as the Cardinals' leading rebounder. She ranked 12th in the Southland in rebounding, totaling 68 on the offensive glass. McCrary shot .419 from the field and .800 from the charity stripe. When ACU played UIW at Moody Coliseum on Nov. 7, 2025, McCrary brought down a career-high 15 rebounds and scored 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting.
McCrary was the Cardinals' leader on the boards as a sophomore in 2024-25, tallying 7.8 points and 5.6 rebounds while starting every game. She connected on 45.5% of her field goal attempts, a top-10 mark in the Southland, and made 82.1% of her free throw tries.
McCrary's 179 rebounds and 17 blocks each ranked within the top 15 in the conference. Her 81 offensive boards ranked fourth. She again put up a double-double against the Wildcats with 17 points and 13 rebounds on 8-of-12 shooting.
As a freshman in 2023-24, McCrary averaged 3.6 points and 3.0 rebounds per contest. She sank 40 of 90 field goal attempts at .444. UIW connected the second-most rebounds per game in the Southland that season.
