
Wildcats Add Junior College Product Morrow to 2026-27 Roster

ABILENE - Abilene Christian women's basketball bolstered its 2026-27 roster with the signing of Samara Morrow, a junior guard from College of Southern Idaho, on Monday. Morrow is a two-time NJCAA Region 18 Second Team selection and guided the Golden Eagles to the NJCAA Elite Eight last season with back-to-back conference titles.
Morrow averaged 9.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in two seasons at CSI, totaling 600 points under head coach Randy Rogers. She started 61 of the 65 games she appeared in and sported a .413 shooting percentage, including a .326 mark from three-point range. Morrow touted an .802 free throw percentage and totaled 129 steals, good for 2.0 per game.
The Arlington, Wash. native landed on the Region 18 All-Tournament Team this past season as the Golden Eagles won the regional championship. CSI went 29-5 with a 12-3 mark in Scenic West Athletic Conference play. Morrow started each game and averaged 9.9 points at a .428 clip and a .337 mark from long distance.
Ahead of the NJCAA Tournament, Morrow led the conference with 3.9 assists per game. She ranked third with 2.1 steals per game and second with an .800 free throw percentage, while her .337 three-point percentage was good for eighth. Morrow averaged 2.8 rebounds and was named the SWAC Player of the Week on Nov. 25, 2025.
Morrow made an early impact as a freshman, starting 27 of the Golden Eagles' 31 games, where they went 23-8 and 11-4 in conference action. She averaged 8.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 steals. Morrow knocked down 39.4% of her shots, including 31.5% from beyond the arc. She was .804 from the charity stripe.
Morrow attended Arlington High School in Washington and was an All-Wesco Selection as a senior and a junior. She guided the Eagles to a fourth-place finish at the state tournament in 2023-24, averaging 19.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.
