Brandon Decker

Brandon Decker is in his third year with ACU in 2020-21 as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. He is responsible for designing and implementing programs for men’s basketball and woman's volleyball (indoor/ beach).

Decker joined the ACU staff after working as a professional intern at Alabama State. During his time with the Hornets, he was responsible for all areas of training for men's basketball, softball, and volleyball, and assisted with football and baseball.

Prior to Alabama State, Decker spent one year as a strength and conditioning volunteer assistant coach at Murray State University where he worked primarily with men’s basketball and softball while assisting with football, baseball, men’s and women’s tennis and men’s and women’s golf.

A native of New Jersey, Decker served as an intern at Penn State where he worked with 29 of the 31 varsity teams including the 2013 women's volleyball national champions, 2014 Big Ten women's basketball champions, 2014 Big Ten women's indoor & outdoor track and field teams, and USA Rugby women's national champions.

Decker earned his bachelor's degree from Marywood University in Athletic Training and graduated in May of 2013. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the NSCA and is CPR certified.Â
