Has already been selected a second team pre-season all-Southland Conference selection at first base going into the 2017 season.
 
2016 (Junior): Crippen is the Wildcats' leading returning player in terms of batting average (.306), home runs (three), RBI (19), multiple hit games (15) and multiple RBI games (four). … Crippen was the Southland Conference Utility Player of the Year for a program that finished 16-37 last season. … Crippen enters his senior season with 138 career hits and 26 doubles.

2015 (Sophomore): Played in all 55 games with 54 starts, most of them coming at second base after he moved there when the Wildcats went through a series of injures. … Finished with 29 RBI, which was second on the club. .. Hit a team-best four home runs, including one in the season-finale (May 23) against Hawaii in Tucson, Ariz., that clinched the Wildcats win over Hawaii. … Despite moving to second base, he committed just six errors on the season.
