Biography

 Junior:Bankston saw action all over the field for the Wildcats primarily platooning at both corner outfield spots … he led the Wildcats in batting average at .426 and on base percentage at .528 … had a season high 3 hits twice, first against East Central going 3-for-3 with a homerun and 3 RBIs … in a season sweep of Angelo State he went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs and a run scored … he knocked in 27 RBIs on the season with four doubles and two homeruns … he has also been a standout in the classroom being named to LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll and was named ESPN The Magazine Second Team Academic all-District outfielder

Sophomore:
Bankston hit .256 in his second season with the Wildcats in only 39 at bats … he had an on base percentage of .370 and was a perfect 3-3 on stolen bases … appeared in 15 games and had 14 starts … had two multi-hit games against SWOSU driving in two runs and against Texas Wesleyan … also had a fielding percentage of .970 backing up All-American Jordan Schmitt

Freshmen:
Played in 14 games in his freshmen season earning eight starts backing up All-American Jordan Schmitt … hit .333 with five RBI’s … had three extra base hits including a home run on 3/22/08 against Southeastern Oklahoma … had his first multi-hit game against Tarleton State (4/26/08)

High School:
Was First Team All-District as a senior at Burleson High School ... a three-year lettermen for coach Chris Mckinley primarily as catcher and with duties in the outfield... selected First Team Johnson County as a senior and was voted team captain
