Junior: An All-American athlete led the Wildcats in batting average hitting .415 … was named to Daktronics All-Region and All-American Teams as well as the Rawlings South Central All-Region Team … has hit over.300 in every season at ACU … led the team in hits with 97 and was second with 19 doubles … had 122 total bases with 42 RBI’s fourth best on the team … was also third on the team with 15 stolen bases including a team leading .487 on base percentage … scored 56 runs …  recorded four hits in a game four separate occasions as a junior … started all 63 games for ACU at shortstop fielding .945 with 199 assists

Sophomore: An outstanding second season for Uechi who worked his way into the starting shortstop role as he started 53 games … had third best batting average at .373 and scoring 57 runs … drove in 44 runs with a slugging percentage of .455 … was 9 for 12 on the base paths making him sixth best … was named LSC Honorable Mention for his play at shortstop ... went 4-4 with 2 RBI’s and two doubles against SWOSU (2/18/08) … had a career day against WTAM (3/8/08) going 4-5 with 4RBIS’s and a double … recorded 3 or more hits 10 times

Freshmen: Started all 60 games for the Wildcats as a true freshmen … hit .370 with 12 extra base hits … drove in 37 runs and was third on the team with 52 runs scored … was third on team in stolen bases with 10 as he posted a .432 on base percentage … started his career at ACU going 3 for 4 and a run scored against Henderson State (2/3/07) … went 5-5 with 5 RBI’s and a double against East Central (2/17/07)

High School: Uechi was a two-time All-District selection at John Marshall High ... as a senior was named District MVP for his performance in district play ... hit .346 as a junior and capped off an outstanding senior season hitting .426 ... as a senior was named All-City and All-Area First Team as well as Second Team All-State ... helped lead coach Jeff Jung and John Marshall High to a 27-5A District Title as a senior ... was voted to participate in 2006 Texas State All-Star game ... as a senior named John Marshall High Male Athlete of the Year
