TULSA, Okla. — Abilene Christian volleyball won its third match in a row with a 3-1 victory over Oral Roberts at the Mabee Center on Friday night. Hannah Gonzalez fueled the Wildcats with one of the top performances of her career, amassing 21 kills and no errors at a .750 attack percentage.

The Wildcats aim for their fifth consecutive win over the Golden Eagles when the teams meet at 2 p.m. Saturday. ACU has won four of its past six road matchups. A four-match win streak would mark its longest since 2023, while a 5-3 record would match the Wildcats' best eight-game start in the Division I era.

Gonzalez was a force on offense with a remarkably efficient effort. She had a hand in three of ACU's five blocks as the Wildcats delivered their highest attack percentage of the season at .283. Rachel Koss came through with a pair of season highs behind a double-double of 51 assists and 10 digs. She chipped in two kills as well.

Brennan Ramirez captained ACU's defense with 24 digs and a pair of service aces. Reigning UAC Freshman of the Week Alyssa Todd stayed hot with 14 kills, while Hadlee Welch tallied 10 kills with a solo block and two block assists. Avery Thaler added eight kills at a .500 clip. She leads the conference with a .386 attack percentage.

ACU battled to win the final three sets after dropping the opening frame. The Wildcats kept pace with the Golden Eagles in the early going, but Oral Roberts never lost its edge after grabbing a 7-6 lead. ACU couldn't get over the hump en route to the Golden Eagles' 25-20 win. Gonzalez turned each of her five swings into kills while Koss contributed 11 assists.

The Wildcats bounced back with a 25-22 victory in the second set. The Wildcats roared out of the gates to the tune of a 9-2 lead, but Oral Roberts answered to tie the score at 12. It seized the advantage at 15-13 before ACU launched a 6-1 run to retake the lead at 19-16. The Wildcats controlled the tempo the rest of the way behind Gonzalez's eight kills at .727 with Koss responsible for each of the team's 15 assists.

The third set was a back-and-forth affair that featured 14 ties and nine lead changes. Both teams traded points to reach a draw at 18, but ACU outscored Oral Roberts 7-2 to close the set with a 25-20 victory. Todd was the catalyst of the Wildcats' scoring with seven kills at a .357 clip.

Both squads found themselves in another stalemate in the fourth period until a 7-1 Wildcat rally pushed the visitors ahead, 16-10. ACU held onto its edge and secured a match victory with a 25-19 set win. It swung at a .533 percentage in the final frame, with Gonzalez tallying six kills and Todd and Welch logging four apiece. Todd had a .667 attack percentage, while Welch was perfect on each of her four attacks. Koss dished out 15 assists.
