JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Brennan Ramirez and Alyssa Todd were recognized for their efforts in powering Abilene Christian volleyball to an undefeated showing last week by the United Athletic Conference. Ramirez was named the UAC Defensive Player of the Week, while Todd took home Freshman of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday.
Ramirez and Todd were each commended by the UAC for the third time this season after leading ACU to a pair of 3-1 victories over North Alabama and West Georgia. Todd was tabbed the UAC Freshman of the Week for the second week in a row. ACU has garnered nine conference honors this season as it continues its best start since 2010.
The Wildcats improved to 7-3 in UAC play, their best start to conference action since 2018, and rose to 15-7 overall, continuing to earn their most wins since 2011. ACU extended its home winning streak to eight matches to improve to 9-2 in Abilene and register its most victories at Moody Coliseum since 2016.
