Six ACU women's soccer players were honored for their exceptional play on the field and work in the classroom by being named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators.
The award recognizes student-athletes who succeed with a minimum 3.50 GPA, and play in at least 90% or start at least 66% of their team's matches.
"This is a prestigious honor for our student-athletes who continue to lead with excellence both on the field and in the classroom," said ACU head women's soccer coach
Stephen Salas. "Their work ethic, consistency, and character show up in every area of their lives. In our program, we live by "how you do one thing is how you do everything," and these players embody that standard at the highest level.
"Gracie, Baylie, Abby, Peyton, McCarly, and Amelia continue to raise the bar for ACU Soccer, and we couldn't be more proud of their achievements. We also know there are more within our program who are deserving of this recognition, and we're confident they'll be on this list in the future."
The Wildcats reached a conference tournament for the first time since spring 2021. Three players were named All-WAC with
McCarly Holloman making the first team,
Amelia Leggett on the second team, and
Bella Medrano landing on both the second team and all-freshman team.
