ACU Loses in Jacksonville, Back Home on Friday Afternoon

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The ACU men's basketball team closed out its two-game run in the Jacksonville Classic, presented by Just Play, with a 92-58 loss to William & Mary on Tuesday evening.
The loss drops the Wildcats to 4-3. ACU led for just 24 seconds of game time early in the first half as the Tribe shot 64.7% for the game, including an eye-popping 77% in the second half.
The Wildcats trailed 39-32 at the break, but William & Mary exploded for 20 fast break points in the second half.

The Wildcats return to Moody Coliseum for a matchup against Jarvis Christian on Friday at 3 p.m. with a special buy one ticket, get two free promotion.
It will be the next-to-last chance to see ACU play at home until WAC games begin on New Year's Day. The Wildcats also host New Mexico State on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m.
All ACU home basketball games are streamed on ESPN+.

- Bradyn Hubbard and Christian Alston paced ACU with 10 points a piece. Hubbard also led the Wildcats with seven rebounds.
- A night after grabbing 19 offensive rebounds, ACU again cleaned up the glass with 14 boards off their own makes compared to just five by William & Mary. However, the Wildcats could only turn that advantage into eight second chance points.
- Yaniel Rivera made 3-of-8 shots from distance, but the rest of the Cats were just 3-of-19 on 3-point attempts.
- RIch Smith had his fourth game of the season with at least five assists. He leads ACU with 25 on the year (an average of 4.2 per game).
