Hubbard Drops in 25 as ACU Stays Perfect at Home

ABILENE - The ACU men's basketball team improved to 4-0 at Moody Coliseum this season with an 87-55 win over Jarvis Christian on Friday afternoon.
The Bulldogs from the NAIA level proved to be a pesky challenge in the first half as the Wildcats led by only eight points at the break. However, ACU powered ahead in the second thanks to a 42-18 edge in points in the paint for the game.
Two Wildcats recorded double-doubles in the victory. Bradyn Hubbard scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Zy Wright poured in 17 and snagged 11 boards.

- Hubbard's 25 points were just one off his ACU-high. He had the 39th double-double of his college career. Hubbard had 36 double-doubles when playing at junior college Connors State (Okla.).
- Wright made his second start as a Wildcat and shot 6-of-8 from the field. His 11 rebounds marked just his fourth time to snag at least ten in a single game.
- Freshman Isaac Dye added 13 points off the bench. He was 4-of-9, including two makes from behind the arc.
- ACU's 17 steals forced 20 turnovers, leading to 31 points off Jarvis Christian mistakes.
- Point guard Rich Smith and forward Joseph Scott did not play.
- Head coach Brette Tanner earned his 75th career win.
