ACU senior defensive back
Dorian Plumley has been named the United Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Plumley intercepted two passes and returned one 15 yards for his first career touchdown in the Wildcats' 31-10 victory over Utah Tech last Saturday. He also added six tackles.
ACU's defense recorded four picks in a game for the first time since 2014, and Plumley is the first player with multiple interceptions since Izaiah Kelly had a pair against Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 19, 2024.
Plumley made his 31st start in a Wildcat uniform, and is the program's active career leader. All four of his career interceptions have come in his last 14 games.
This is ACU's third defensive player of the week, and fourth overall award, from the conference this season. Linebacker
Rashon Myles, Jr., has been honored by the UAC twice, and quarterback
Stone Earle has been honored once.
The Wildcats visit Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, Nov. 15, with a chance to clinch the conference championship with a win and losses by Southern Utah and Tarleton State. Kickoff in Richmond, Ky., is at 2 p.m. CT.
