The ACU women's soccer team tries to build off a 4-0 Senior Day win when it takes on Tarleton State Friday night in Stephenville.
The Wildcats (5-7-1 overall, 1-2-1 WAC) defeated Southern Utah 4-0 on Sunday for their first conference victory of the season.
It was a productive homestand for ACU as they coupled that win with a 1-1 draw versus Utah Tech on a penalty kick in the final minute on Thursday, Oct. 2.
In Sunday's victory,
Baylie Simon and
Raelin Miller scored in the first half, and
Amelia Leggett and
Shakira Kafero-Roberts added goals just minutes into the second half.
It's the first time ACU has scored at least four goals in a match since Sept. 14, 2023, when they took down Prairie View A&M 6-0.
ACU goalkeepers
Lili Ross and
Emma Konsmo combined for the shutout as both played one half of action. Ross grabbed four saves in the first half, while Konsmo recorded six saves in the second half.
Tarleton State is 7-5-1 overall, but has started 1-3 in the WAC. The Texans lost to Southern Utah last week, and rebounded with a 4-3 win over Utah Tech.
Friday's match starts at 7 p.m.
