Tennis Heads to UTEP for Saturday Match

ABILENE – Abilene Christian heads to El Paso this weekend for an 11 a.m. match on Saturday at Texas-El Paso.
The Wildcats are 8-0 against the Miners, including a 7-0 win last season in Abilene that included doubles and singles wins for Maryjoe Crisologo and Andrea Guerrero.
Olivia Sears leads the Cats with seven singles wins this spring with Crisologo at six. Eva Arranz has the best record in singles at 5-1. Arranz and Guerrero are 4-3 in doubles this season as ACU's most successful tandem.
The Miners are 2-7 after losing six of the last seven with the win being a shutout over the College of Idaho from the NAIA. Thassane Abrahim and Veronika Lebisova have formed a successful doubles tandem for UTEP, getting 11 wins.
