ABILENE – Abilene Christian's magic number stayed at one after Saturday's 3-0 loss to Grand Canyon.
The Wildcats need one win or one Utah Tech loss to clinch a seed in the WAC Tournament.
ACU recognized seniors Andie Sheppard and Braden Bossier along with graduate students Breanna Box and Hannah Knier in their penultimate home game.
ACU lost 25-15, 25-16 and 25-17.
Bryley Steinhilber and Bossier led the Wildcats with eight kills each with Madeline Guffy getting 22 assists. Steinhilber added two aces.
Sheppard led the Cats with 11 digs and Bossier was in on a pair of blocks.
The Wildcats return to action Nov. 11 at Texas-Rio Grande Valley.
