WG Finishes Off Trip to Oklahoma

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Abilene Christian shot 311 in Tuesday's final round of the Dale McNamara Invitational to finish 12th at 900.
"Today was a hard day for us," said ACU Head Coach Rob Bennett. "For whatever reason we struggled to get anything going and the round got away from us. We know we are capable of much more, so this one hurts.
"One thing I know about our team, though, is that we are resilient. We will bounce back from this at our next event and I think you'll see us back at the top of the leaderboard soon."
Jiyu Han, ACU's individual entrant, shot a team-best 71 on the final day to finish 27th at 220. She had birdies on holes 2, 3, 6, 13 and 17.
Ryann Honea placed 36th at 222 after her final round of 75, in which she had birdies on holes 1, 6 and 16.
Manon Guille tied for 48th at 225. She birdied the 12th hole on her way to a 76 in the final round.
Delaney Martin had a birdie on hole 13 on Tuesday and finished with an 80 for the round and 228 for the tournament, placing 60th.
Sydney Williams had birdies on holes 5, 16 and 17 in the final round, shooting an 81. Her three-round total of 232 had her tied with teammate Kate Pickrell for 71st.
Pickrell shot an 80 on Tuesday with a birdie on the seventh hole.
The Wildcats had 33 birdies in the three rounds, led by Han with 10. Honea had eight, followed by Williams and Martin with seven apiece, Guille with six and Pickrell with five.
ACU next competes at the University of North Carolina-Asheville's French Broad Collegiate on Oct. 30-31 to end the fall season.
