The Wildcats (2-0)
- ACU used a big fourth quarter to hang on for a 21-13 victory over Prairie View A&M on Saturday, improving to 2-0 for the first time since 2013. The win marks the first time in program history that ACU has been 2-0 with both wins coming against Division I opponents.
- Tight ends Jed Castles and Noah Caldwell each came away with their first career touchdown catch against the Panthers, while quarterback Maverick McIvor recorded the first rushing score of his collegiate career.
- Tyrin Bradley turned in an impressive performance off the edge of the Wildcat D-Line, totaling 10 tackles, 2 TFL and a quarterback hurry. He was named the WAC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts, making him the first weekly award winner of the Keith Patterson era.
- The biggest play of the came when long snapper Dustin Inness downed a punt at the one-yard line, and he has now been involved with a momentum-shifting special teams play two weeks in a row following his muffed punt recovery in Week 1.
The Tigers (1-1)
- Missouri starting quarterback Brady Cook struggled in the matchup against former Big XII foe Kansas State last week, completing 15 of his 27 attempts for just 128 yards with no scores and a pair of interceptions.
- Cody Schrader and Nathaniel Peat have split backfield duties almost evenly so far, with Schrader getting two more carries and seven more yards.
- Three Missouri players have already come away interceptions, as Ty'Ron Hopper, Jaylos Carlies and Joseph Charleston each did so in the season opener against Lousiana Tech.
- Kicker Harrison Mevis has been perfect for the Tigers so far this fall, hitting three field goals with a long of 49.
What to Watch For
- Sweetwater native Kobe Clark continues to climb up the program record books in career receptions, and he now needs just three to pass Taylor Gabriel for second all-time. He is 22 away from tying the program record, held by current ACU running backs coach Jerale Badon.
The Series
- The Wildcats and Tigers have never met head-to-head.
- ACU has only previously played an SEC opponent twice, Arkansas in 1948 and Mississippi State in 2019.
