ABILENE, Texas – The ACU golf program and head coach Tom Shaw are excited to announce the signing of Grégoire Hoyeau for the 2022-23 season. Hoyeau finished last year's under-18 French National Championship in fifth place, and he joins Thomas Buisson, Brian Comegys and Karson Grigsby as Wildcat signees for next fall.
"I am very pleased to be adding another outstanding French player to our squad," Shaw said. "Grégoire is a wonderful combination of elite talent and high intellect, he has extensive experience in team competition internationally, and he will be a great addition to our young team."
Hoyeau comes to ACU as an already-decorated amateur, as he has finished inside the top ten at the AJGA Las Vegas Senior Showcase and won the under-16 regional championship in 2019. Additionally, he reached the semifinals of the National Club Championship with Saint-Nom in 2019 before helping the team win the National Clubs Championship in 2021, where he finished second in stroke play individually.
