Wildcats close out series in Hammond

HAMMOND, La.—The Wildcats played the finale of their three-game series with Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday morning falling 5-0. The team moved to 3-6 in Southland play and will be back at home for four games next week.

ACU struggled to get their offense going on Saturday as they totaled just one hit on the day and drew one walk for their only base runners of the day. Both times the Wildcats were able to advance the runners to third, but couldn't get them home. The Lions were able to capitalize on Wildcat errors early and scored five runs through the first four innings.

Stat pack
  • Samantha Bradley pitched the first two innings before Riley White appeared in relief. White pitched two innings and then Bradley came back in to pitch the final two.
  • Val Rudd had the only hit on the day for the Wildcats, doubling to left.
  • While she didn't register a hit, Donelle Johnson was able to reach base via the walk and earned a stolen base on the day.
  • The team committed four errors for the second-straight game, resulting in on unearned run scoring.
