Koons Resigns as ACU Head Softball Coach

ABILENE, Texas – Abilene Christian University has announced ACU softball head coach Jo Koons has resigned from her position after two seasons leading the Wildcats' program to pursue other professional opportunities.
"We appreciate Coach Koons' service and commitment to ACU during her time leading our softball program," ACU vice president for athletics Zack Lassiter said. "We are grateful for her contributions and wish her nothing but success in her next chapter.
"Our focus now turns to conducting a comprehensive national search to identify the next leader of ACU softball. We are committed to finding a coach who will compete for championships and help our student-athletes reach their potential in the classroom while living up to the mission of ACU to prepare students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world."
