Mooney announces 2020 recruiting class
12/4/2019 3:00:00 PM | Women's Volleyball, Beach Volleyball
ABILENE—Head volleyball coach, Angela Mooney, has announced her 2020 signing class and it looks to be a versatile group of players who can help ACU to continue to elevate the program. The Wildcats had a down season in 2019 and will look to this young talent to help the program grow going forward. The coaching staff is excited to add not only talent, but great students as well who can truly personify what it is to be a student-athlete at ACU. Mooney has seven indoor players coming in as well as one beach player to complete her roster for the 2020-21 year.
"Overall, we are thrilled about how this recruiting class has come together," Mooney explains. "The group as a whole are great players but even more importantly, they are great people and students. Putting together this class was a lengthy process as we really took our time and were very thoughtful about how each and every one of them would and could contribute to our program's future. We had players committed as early as their sophomore years and as late at this past summer. Like the 2019 class, we are once again adding to the physicality of our program with this class and the level of play people will see in Moody will really escalate over the next few seasons. Collectively, this is truly a group of winners."
