Last year's Mustangs reached the first round of the NCAA Championship and finished the season ranked No. 38 in the nation behind an overall record of 13-12 overall and 2-3 showing vs. the American Athletic Conference. However, following this memorable campaign, the Mustangs graduated eight seniors and replaced them with six freshman in addition to Illinois State transfer Rory Samuels.
By comparison, the Wildcats return all but one of their starters from last year's team that went 17-9 and 4-1 against the Southland Conference to capture a share of the regular-season title. Brothers Joshua and
Jonathan Sheehy again are expected to lead ACU at the top followed by a mix of several accomplished veterans:
Henry Adams,
Hunter Holman,
Paul Michael Domanski,
Jackson Fine,
Brad Gleason,
Sebastian Langdon and
Cole Lawson.
The Wildcats have two newcomers on this year's roster: freshman
Joaquin Delgado and sophomore Texas Tech transfer
Nikolas Moceanu.
