Wildcats sweep Friday doubleheader at Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Abilene Christian men's tennis won its first two duals of the 2017 spring Friday at Air Force, beating Colorado State-Pueblo and Metro State by scores of 7-0 and 6-1.
The Wildcats' doubles teams won five of six doubles with their lone loss coming at the No. 1 spot vs. the ThunderWolves, 6-4, but won the No. 2 and 3 matches, 6-1, and 6-2. And against Metro State they won all three contests by the same 6-4 margin.
ACU played just as convincingly in singles, winning 11 of 12 matches in straight sets. Double winners today included Henry Adams, Hunter Holman and Paul Michael Domanski. Adams was victorious at No. 2 vs. Pueblo and at No. 4 vs. Metro State. Holman won at No. 3 and 5, and Domanski triumphed at the No. 4 and 6 positions.
Both Sheehy brothers won at the top line. Jonathan beat James Ryan of Pueblo, 6-1, 6-3, and Josh doubled up Josh Graetz of Metro, 6-3, 6-3. Also winning one singles match today were Brad Gleason, Jackson Fine, and Nico Agritelley.
The Wildcats return to action Saturday with a doubleheader against Northern Colorado and Air Force. ACU's dual vs. the Falcons will be live streamed on GoAirForceFalcons.com.
