ABILENE - The Abilene Christian track and field teams enter their busiest weekend of the year, traveling to Austin for the 89th running of the Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium and to San Marcos for the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State.
The Texas Relays runs from Wednesday to Saturday, beginning with the decathlon and heptathlon, while the Bobcat Invitational gets underway Thursday.
Decathlete Luke Woods will be the lone Wildcat competing Wednesday, as the gruelling ten-discipline event kicks off with the 100-meter dash at 11 a.m.
Thursday will be an active day at both meets, starting with Taylor Yantis running the 100-meter hurdles at 9 a.m. to start her heptathlon in San Marcos. Yantis is coming off a heptathlon victory two weeks ago at the ASU Spring Break Multi Meet in which she scored a lifetime best 4,866 points.
Woods' second day of the decathlon begins at 10 a.m. with the 110-meter hurdles.
Multiple Wildcats will compete in individual events Thursday at the Texas Relays, including Jaden Dement in the pole vault and Kimone Green in the 400-meter hurdle preliminary round. Green's time of 59.78 at Lubbock last weekend leads the Southland Conference.
Junior distance standout Allie Hackett should face much stronger competition in the 5K Thursday night after her dominating 53-second victory last weekend in which she ran 16:31.08. The new varsity and conference record holder will be joined by freshman Carnley Graham, and will take on athletes from Kansas, Purdue, UT-Arlington and SMU among other schools.
Action at the Texas Relays resumes Friday at 9 a.m. with the men's discus, and on the track at 9:30 a.m. with the 4x100m relays.
In San Marcos, action runs from 8:30 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. Friday then again Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Garcia-Munoz will also compete in the fastest section of the women's 1,500m Saturday afternoon. She is currently ranked third in the Southland behind Lamar's Verity Ockenden and Hackett. Other Wildcat women competing at the Relays include Kayla Melgar (discus) and Marina Guerrero (3,000m steeplechase).
On the men's side, sophomore discus thrower Kai Schmidt will compete in his event at both meets, first on Thursday in San Marcos before competing at the Relays on Friday.
The only other male competitor for the Wildcats at Texas Relays will be Jeremy Tatham in the 110-meter hurdles.
