Final ResultsLITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The ACU Wildcats finished right in the middle of the pack Tuesday after three rounds of play at the Arkansas-Little Rock / First Tee Classic, posting an eighth-place finish in the 15-team field.
The Wildcats followed up Monday's first-round 301 with back-to-back rounds of 306 Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning. ACU finished at 49-over-par 913, 29 strokes behind team champion Lipscomb, which finished at 20-over-par 884 after rounds of 300-289-295.
Tennessee-Martin finished as the runner-up at 34-over-par 898, followed by the hosts from Arkansas-Little Rock (37-over-par 901 for third), Central Arkansas (41-over-par 905 for fourth), Stephen F. Austin (43-over-par 907 for fifth).
The Wildcats finished ahead of ninth-place Eastern Michigan, followed by Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss, Oral Roberts, Nebraska-Omaha and Tulsa.
ACU was led by
Dillon Vaughn, who fired rounds of 74-78-73 to finished tied for 14th at 9-over-par 225. He was followed by senior
Luke Carpenter, who finished tied for 34th at 14-over-par 230 after rounds of 76-79-75.
The rest of the Wildcats were
Garrett Glanton (tied for 9th at 231),
Ryan Beatty (tied for 43rd at 232) and
Clarke Hudgins (tied for 43rd at 232).
