Biography

Junior (2015-16): In the fall, Beatty had one top-10 finish (tied for 9th at the Bayou City Collegiate Championship) and two other top-15 finishes in his first campaign as a Wildcat. … Posted a low round of 66 in the second round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational (Sept. 12-13 in Colorado Springs, Colo.). … Finished tied for 12th at that tournament and then finished tied for 14th at The Grove Intercollegiate, ACU’s final tournament of the fall season. ... Played in every tournament in the spring, posting a best finish of tied for 15th at the Southland Conference championship tournament. … At the conference championship tournament, Beatty fired rounds of 70-79-75 to finish at 224 and tied for 15th. … His next-best finish of the spring came in the first tournament on the schedule when he finished tied for 23rd in the rain-shortened Atchafalaya Intercollegiate. … Carried a 75.4 stroke average in the spring and a 74.9 scoring average for the entire season.
