Wildcats cruise to 6-0 win over Cougars in men's tennis dual

TULSA, Okla. - Abilene Christian finished its weekend trip to Tulsa with a 6-0 victory over Southern Illinois - Edwardsville Saturday evening at the Philcrest Hills Tennis Club. The No. 3 doubles team of Sebastian Langdon and Brad Gleason clinched the doubles point for ACU with a 7-6 win and from there the Wildcats controlled singles with four straight-set triumphs.
Top-line freshman Josh Sheehy improved to 3-1 behind a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Tristan Houle, and at No. 2, Tulsa native and senior Jason Proctor pitched a shutout of Nico Kuehn.
Sophomores Henry Adams and Hunter Holman also were victorious in straight sets at No. 4 and 5, while at No. 3, classmate Paul Domanski battled back from a set down to top Patrick Gaffigan, 4-6, 6-0, 10-5.
Langdon defeated Dan Lineberry, 6-4, in their only completed set at the No. 6 position.
Langdon and Gleason now have won three-consecutive doubles matches together at No. 3, and at No. 1 today, Adams and Sheehy crushed Lineberry and Kuehn, 6-1.
Next weekend ACU is scheduled to play four duals over two days at the Air Force Academy against the Falcons, Metro State, Northern Colorado and UC Davis.
