Wildcats win third straight as they cruise past Open Bible College, 87-43

ABILENE -- Jacob Lancaster poured in a career-high 21 points Wednesday night as the ACU Wildcats won their third straight game with an 87-43 victory over Open Bible College in non-conference men's college basketball action at Moody Coliseum.
The win pushes the Wildcats to 5-8 on the season as they hit the Christmas break. The Wildcats and Bruins will play again at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30, in Abilene.
Lancaster was part of a dominant inside effort for the Wildcats, who outscored Open Bible 46-12 in the paint. Lancaster hit 9 of 17 shots from the floor and grabbed nine rebounds.
Forward James Pegues added a season-high 11 points to go along with five rebounds. The Wildcats out-rebounded the Bruins 45-26, had 18 offensive rebounds and had 23 second-chance points in the gmae.
ACU had little trouble with the Bruins, taking a 48-26 lead at the break and then outscoring Open Bible 39-17 in the second half. Open Bible was just 15 of 49 from the floor in the game, including 6 of 18 in the second half.
ACU sophomore guard Parker Wentz had 15 points on 4 of 7 shooting (3 of 5 from 3-point range).
