Four Wildcats earn award

TOWSON, Md. – Four ACU Wildcats were voted to the ESPN The Magazine academic all-District VI baseball team, which was announced earlier this month.

Relief pitcher Brad Rutherford and shortstop Willie Uechi were each voted to the first team, while outfielders Travis Latz and Cameron Bankston were voted to the second team.

Rutherford, a junior from Missoula, Mont., carries a 4.0 GPA while majoring in physics, while Uechi, a senior from San Antonio, has a 3.64 GPA while majoring in exercise science.

Latz, a senior from Tomball, has a 3.54 GPA while majoring in exercise science, and Bankston, a junior from Burleson, has a 3.40 GPA with a major in history-teaching.
