ABILENE – The Wildcats used two solid outings on the mound from Aaron Lambrix and William Calhoun to finish a sweep of East Central Saturday afternoon at Crutcher Scott Field. ACU improved to 17-2, and 10-2 in the Lone Star Conference with the wins while ECU fell to 3-9, and 3-7 in the conference.

Game 1 Recap
ACU starter Aaron Lambrix pitched his was to the first complete game of the season for the Wildcats going seven innings, scattering four hits and only allowing two runs. Lambrix was quick in a game that took just an hour and a half as he struck out five Tigers and allowed only two walks.
East Central jumped on the board early when Lambrix walked Wolf and Howard to lead off the game. A single up the middle would plate the two Tigers, but that was all East Central would manage.
The Wildcats scored in every inning but the fourth as they added a single run in the first three innings. ACU used a big fifth inning when Calhoun started the inning off with a double that squeaked inside the left field line. He would score on a sacrafice fly by Cameron Bankston his second RBI of the day.
Brett Bochsler and Abe Williams would follow with back-to-back doubles scoring Travis Latz, Bochsler and Cameron Watten.
ACU would add two more runs in the sixth on a fielder's choice and Bankston's third RBI of the game. A single to center field by Bankston scored Calhoun who had walked earlier in the inning.
Bankston got his first RBI of the day on a homerun to left field. It was his first of the season.
Game 2 Recap
In the finale Calhoun had one of his best outings of the season. Improving to 1-1 on the season Calhoun scattered five hits over six innings as he did not allow a walk a stuck out six.
Chay Lytle pitched a scoreless seventh as he came on in relief for only the second time this series.
ACU picked up their second shutout of the week and second of the season as they again scored in every inning but one. The Wildcats scored single runs in the first two innings before opening up the third with four runs on three hits.
Brett Bochsler connected for a three-run blast down the right field line giving ACU a 6-0 lead. The homerun was the third of the season for Bochsler and his 18th RBI of the season one shy of the team high.
The Wildcats would add another run in the fourth and sixth when Travis Latz picked up his second hit of the game to make it 8-0 lead.
The run-rule would take effect in the seventh when William Uechi singled up the middle scoring Ian Tompkins for a 10-0 victory.
ACU holds onto first place in the LSC as they are off for a week before heading to Durant, Oklahoma for a four game series with Southeastern Oklahoma State. First pitch between the Wildcats and the Savage Storm is set for 1 p.m.
