Maya Natori joined the ACU staff in 2016 as an assistant athletic trainer, and now serves as an associate athletic trainer for the Wildcats after spending time at Southeast Missouri State University where she obtained her master of arts degree.
Natori worked with the women's basketball team from 2016-21, and the track & field and cross country programs from 2021-22. Her primary duties now include working with the men's basketball and men's tennis teams. Natori also serves as the insurance coordinator with the program.
A native of Shizuoka, Japan, Natori earned her bachelor of science degree in athletic training and exercise science from Missouri Valley College in 2013, where was a soccer player as well. She served as an intern in the athletic training department at MVC until 2014, and then went on to earn her master's from SEMO, serving as a graduate assistant and working with the softball and women's basketball teams.
Natori is certified in Foundations in Dry Needling for Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Sport Performance From Structure & Function Education, earning the certification in 2018. She has been a Board of Certified athletic trainer since 2013 and a Texas licenced athletic trainer since 2016.
