Biography

Guiton returns for her senior year and is expected to be one of the top guards in the LSC. She has already been voted to the preseason LSC first-team at the conference basketball media day in Oct. She is a shoe-in for ACU's starting point guard spot. 2006-07 Junior: Was voted first-team LSC South Division after leading ACU in scoring (15.1 per game) and assists (3.8 per game). Started all 29 games at point guard for the Wildcats and led the team in scoring 13 times. Scored a career-high 39 points in a 100-91 overtime loss at Central Oklahoma on Dec. 9. Led ACU in 3-point percentage by making 39 percent of her attempts. Led the Wildcats in 3-pointers made with 64. Finished second on the team in free-throw percentage (behind only Kelsey Darby's 80 percent mark) with a 79% mark. Also led ACU in minutes played with a 36.5 average. 2005-06 (Sophomore): A second team all-Lone Star Conference South Division selection after leading the Wildcats in minutes played (37.3), assists (4.1) and points (14.3). Guiton led the Wildcats in scoring 11 times, including two 26-point performances: in a road win at East Central on Jan. 5, and an overtime road win at Texas Woman's on Jan. 28. Started and played significant minutes in all 27 ACU games. 2004-05 (Freshman): Moved into the starting role in the fourth game of the season and started the rest of the year. She directed the top scoring offense in the Lone Star Conference as the Wildcats averaged a league-best 75.0 points per game. Guiton proved very durable for a freshman as she was the only Wildcat to play every minute in a game, and she did it three times, including in an overtime win at Angelo State (Feb. 15) and an overtime loss at Texas A&M-Kingsville (Feb. 19). Played the best game of her young career in the upset win at Angelo State when she scored a then-career-high 27 points and hit 6 of 9 3-pointers as the Wildcats beat the Rambelles, 75-66, to sweep the regular-season series. She played 42 minutes and scored 18 points in the Wildcats' thrilling 85-84 overtime win at Northeastern State on Dec. 13, and it was her 3-pointer that helped send the game into overtime. In ACU's 81-68 road win over Tarleton State (March 1) in the quarterfinals of the LSC_Post-Season Tournament, Guiton kept the Wildcats in the game in the first half with 15 points in the game's first 20 minutes ? all on 3-pointers ? before missing the second half with an injury. She was named honorable mention all-LSC_South Division as a freshman. High school: A two-time first team all-state selection who led the Lady Cardinals to a 136-22 record and two Class 4A Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) state titles in her four years. She hit 43 3-point field goals and averaged 5.1 assists per game as a senior in 2003-04, helping her team to a third straight state title-game appearance and a second state crown. Was first team all-state in 2002-03 and 2003-04, and she helped the Lady Cardinals to four straight District 2-4A championships. Fort Worth Christian HS was 39-5 in 2003-04 with all five losses coming against Class 5A public schools in Lubbock Coronado, San Antonio Taft, Mansfield Summit, Flower Mound and Riverdale (Calif.). The Lady Cardinals won 14 games against public school opponents, including wins over District 3-5A champion Midland Lee, Region I-5A semifinalist Southlake Carroll and The Woodlands. Personal: 2004 graduate of Fort Worth Christian High School where she played for John Anderson. Born 19 June 1986.
