Biography
2023-2024: Indoors – Natalie competed in 5 meets in her 2 nd year at ACU. In her first pentathlon of the
season at the Roberrt Platt Invitational at the University of Houston, she set a new PR total of 3,057
points. She also placed 7 th in the Charlie Thomas Invitational LJ in College Station. She had a big finish to
her indoor season when she finished 6 th in the WAC Championship pentathlon with a new PR of 3,298
points, an improvement of over 200 points from her previous PR. She also set a new event PR during
that pentathlon in the LJ with a jump of 17-1.5/5.22. Outdoors – she competed in 6 outdoor meets,
opening the season by placing 3rd in ACU’s Wes Kittley Invitational HJ. A few weeks later, at the David
Noble Invitational in San Angelo, she placed 7 th in the heptathlon with a new PR of 4,454 points. She also
set a new PR of 25.77 in the 200 during the heptathlon. Later, in Waco, she would set a new PR of 15.20
in the 100H at the Michael Johnson Invitational. To finish out a breakthrough season for Natalie, she
finished 4 th in the WAC Championship meet with a new PR total of 4,538. This heptathlon included new
PR’s in the 800 (2:30.23) and the HJ (5-2.25/1.58).
2022-2023: Indoors – competed in 5 indoor meets. Natalie competed in her first combined event at the
Washburn Open, placing 11 th in the pentathlon. She would go on to finish 16 th in the WAC indoor
championship pentathlon with a score of 3,022. Outdoors – she competed in 6 outdoor meets.
Competing in her first ever outdoor heptathlon, she placed 9 th at the David Noble Relays in San Angelo
with a score of 4,263. At the War Hawk Classic, she won the HJ and got 5 th in the 100H. At the WAC
outdoor championship, she would finish 11 th in the heptathlon with a score of 4,200 and that included a
big PR in the 200 of 26.01, which was the 4 th best time among heptathletes at the conference
championship.
Before ACU: Competed in basketball (3 letters), volleyball (4 letters), and T&F (4 letters) at Lubbock
Kingdom Prep. As a HS senior at the TAPPS 2A state meet, Natalie was the runner-up in the high jump,
3 rd in the 100 hurdles and ran on the 2 nd place 4x200 relay and the 6 th place 4x400 relay. In 2021, as a HS
junior, she won the TAPPS 2A 200, was runner-up in the 400, placed 3 rd in both the 100 and the high
jump; and finish 6 th in the long jump. HS bests include: 100 - 12.74; 200 - 26.69; 400 - 1:01.34; 100
hurdles - 17.25; high jump - 5-2; long jump – 16-8.5; and shot put – 29-5.
Personal: Natalie was a 2022 graduate of Lubbock Kingdom Prep Academy. At ACU, she is a
Communications major and she has also appeared on the Dean’s List for each of her first 4 semesters at
the University. She is currently serving as a Communication Department Ambassador and is an Intern for
the ACU Events office. She is also a Presidential Scholar at ACU. Her parents are Greg and Cheri Poe.
Natalie’s mother, Cheri, played collegiate basketball at Southern Nazarene University.
I was drawn to ACU because I knew it could be a place of tremendous growth
for me athletically and spiritually, as well as prepare me well for life after college.
