Sarah Shipp

Sarah Shipp has served as the Director of Student-Athlete Welfare since June 2021.  
Shipp joined the athletics department in April 2018 as the Academic Coordinator for Football and later on became the Director of Academics and Assistant AD for Academics before transitioning to the Men's Basketball coaching staff. 
Shipp began her career at ACU in October 2014, working for the Academic Development Center and First Year Program as the university’s Academic Coach. In that position, she assisted students in adapting their academic skills to the expectations required for college-level coursework. Additionally, she advised undeclared students and co-advised the first-year honor society, Phi Eta Sigma. Shipp also co-developed and taught UNIV 111: Foundations for Success.

Shipp graduated from ACU in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and in 2013 with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and has experience in providing counseling to clients of all ages.
