Cam Griffin is in his first season as an assistant coach on the ACU staff. He joined the group in July 2018 after a four-playing career at the University of Denver and two years in the G League.

Griffin appeared in 102 career games at the University of Denver. The San Antonio native (Converse Judson High School) was named to the Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational All-Tournament Team as junior and won the Vince Boryla '49 Pioneer Award in 2014.

At just 6-4, he led the Pioneers in rebounding in both his junior and senior seasons, averaging 5.8 and 6.1 rebounds per game in those seasons, respectively. Griffin finished with 141 career steals, tying him with former teammate Chris Udofia
for seventh on the all-time steals list at Denver.

As a senior, Griffin set a career high with 21 points in a home win against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Dec. 17, 2014. Also that season, Griffin set career highs points scored (320), points per game (11.4), field goal and free-throw percentage (54.2 percent), rebounds per game (6.4), total steals (48), steals pr game (1.7), total assists (66), assists per game (2.4), minutes played (930), and minutes played per game (33.2.

After his four years at Denver, Griffin played one season with the Texas Legends (2015-16) and one season with the Reno Bighrons (2016-17) in the G League, the NBA's developmental league.

Griffin graduated in June 2015 with a degree in Journalism.
