2012 (Junior): Projected as the Wildcats' starter at left tackle. Joined the Wildcats one week into fall camp after leaving the University of Oklahoma.
College of the Canyons (2010, 2011): Left College of the Canyons as the top-rated offensive tackle prospect in all of junior college football. Fielded offers from Oklahoma, Auburn, Boise State, Kansas State, Louisville, Rutgers, West Virginia and others. Latu was committed to West Virginia and Auburn at times during his commitment before eventually signing with Oklahoma. He was listed as a four-star recruit by both Rivals.com and 247Sports.com and was a three-star recruit by Scout.com. Rivals.com not only placed him among the top seven overall junior college recruits in teh 2012 signing class, but also listed him as the No. 1 junior college offensive lineman in the country. Latu was ranked as the NO. 23 junior college player in the nation by 247Sports.com.
High school: Latu did not play football until his senior year at Gibbs HS, but still earned all-county and all-Suncoast recognition.
