Gipson Invited to New Orleans Saints Rookie Mini Camp

Abilene Christian receiver Javon Gipson has received an invitation to rookie minicamp with the New Orleans Saints.
Gipson played in 26 games over the past two seasons at ACU, totaling 1,357 receiving yards on 87 catches with eight touchdowns.
The Richmond, Texas native blossomed into a massive threat in 2025 as he became the third player in ACU's Division I era to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark for a season. Gipson finished with 64 receptions for 1,022 yards and six TD.
His final season was highlighted by three straight 100-yard games as the Wildcats pushed to win the United Athletic Conference title and advance to the second round of the FCS Playoffs for the second year in-a-row. Gipson was the first ACU player to have three consecutive 100-yard receiving games since ACU Sports Hall of Fame member Taylor Gabriel, who played six years in the NFL, did it in the final three games of the 2011 season.
Gipson's teammate running back Jordon Vaughn signed a free agent contract with the Indianapolis Colts shortly after the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft.
