High School: Played linebacker for coach Steve Smith. Honors include Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore in 2006, all-district as a junior in 2007 and captain as a senior in 2008 for 12-1 team. Two-time all-state player as a sophomore and junior. Also all-district and all-region in basketball and played for state title team in baseball.
