ACU head football coach Keith Patterson announced Jordan Seawright on December 21 as the first addition to the new-look Wildcat staff. Seawright will serve as Associate Athletics Director/Chief of Staff, where he will oversee all day-to-day operations for the Wildcat football program.
Most recently, Seawright served for two years in a similar role at Texas A&M-Commerce, where he coordinated team and player community service projects and managed the team’s travel, budget and recruiting. Seawright graduated in 2010 from Texas Tech with his Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Science.
“I am excited about the opportunity to join Coach Patterson’s staff, as he is a great leader of men and wants to see them succeed on and off the field,” Seawright said. “His vision on the future of this program will bring an exciting brand of football to the Abilene community, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
Prior to his time in Commerce, Seawright held various positions at Texas Tech, beginning as a student equipment manager before taking the head equipment role ahead of the 2017 campaign. From there, he served as the Red Raiders’ recruiting coordinator, managing logistics for all campus visits, summer camps, and on-campus meals and tours.
“I’m very excited to add Jordan to our football family,” Patterson said. “He is an extremely hard worker and brings a wealth of knowledge in every aspect of football administration. He has a very bright future and will be a tremendous asset for us.”
