Washington is the only returning running back from last year’s team and he enters the 2009 season listed as a backup running back.

2008 (Junior): Washington saw action in four games for the Wildcats, finishing with 94 yards and one touchdown on 28 carries. He ran for a season-high 41 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries against East Central on Oct. 4 and added 33 yards on six carries against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Nov. 1.

2007 (Sophomore): Played in five games as a backup running back, finishing with 135 yards and one touchdown on 41 carries. He also added one reception for nine yards. He led the team in rushing against Northeastern State on Oct. 6 when he rushed for 43 yards and one score on 15 carries in a 58-7 ACU victory. He had a season-high 46 yards on 10 carries in ACU’s 50-14 win at Southwestern Oklahoma State on Sept. 22.

High school: Ran for more than 1,000 yards as a senior in 2004, earning honorable mention all-district honors. He was also a first team all-district soccer player.
