Will be a backup linebacker in 2007 after spending the 2006 season as a redshirt.

High school: Starter at linebacker for back-to-back 12-1 teams at Abilene HS. As a senior, Reno had 140 tackles, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries on his way to earning District 3-5A Defensive MVP honors. He was a two-time first team all-district performer who, as a senior, was the Abilene Reporter-News' Big Country Class 4A-5A Defensive Player of the Year and a member of the Reporter-News' all-Big Country Super Team. A first team all-region performer, Reno was an honorable mention Class 5A all-state selection by the Texas Sports Writers' Association. Reno played on 2004-05 teams that were a combined 24-2 and finished with back-to-back 10-0 regular seasons.
