- Voted First Team All-UAC, Second Team All-America by FCS Football Central (The Bluebloods/Sports Illustrated/Fan Nation).
- Won the Stats Perform FCS National Offensive Player of the Week award for his 506-yard performance in the season-opening overtime loss at Texas Tech. The 506 passing yards tied for second most in ACU's single-game history.
- Twice named WAC Offensive Player of the Week (for wins at Texas Tech, at Austin Peay).
- Finished 4th in FCS in passing yards, 6th in passing touchdowns, and 4th in completions.
- Voted team captain for second consecutive season.

- Took a medical redshirt in 2019 - suffered a leg injury during preseason practices that kept him off the field for most of the season
- Recorded his best season as a junior, throwing for 3,415 yards while rushing for 870 yards

- Was an honorable mention All-State selection by the Associated Press
- Notched 43 passing touchdowns on the season with only eight interceptions
- Averaged 5.2 yards per carry over his 166 attempts on the ground
- Senior season was ended early due to an injury in only the second game
- Previously garnered second team All-District 2-6A honors as a wide receiver his sophomore season … caught 35 passes that season for 532 yards and seven touchdowns.
- A 3-star QB and the No. 25 QB prospect in the nation, as well as the No. 97 player in the state of Texas according to ESPN rankings…247sports also ranked him as a 3-star and the No. 30 dual-threat QB in the nation.
- Played 6-man football his freshman year at Fort Davis H.S. before transferring to San Angelo Central H.S.
- Father, Rick, was a quarterback at Texas, and played in 6 games in the NFL with the Cardinals.
