Biography

2009 (Junior): Washington didn't move into the starting lineup until the seventh game of the season, but he still finished with a team-high 76 tackles, including 11.5 tackles for loss. He was dominant in the Wildcats' two games at Midwestern State. In the Nov. 7 regular-season finale, Washington had 11 tackles (0.5 tackle for loss) and 1 sack along with 1 quarterback hurry. In the Nov. 14 playoff win over the Mustangs, Washington registered 13 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 tackles behind the line of scrimmage and 1 quarterback hurry. He was voted first team all-Lone Star Conference South Division, second team all-Super Region IV by Daktronics, and third team all-region by Don Hansen's Football Gazette.
2005-08 (Notre Dame): After sitting out as a redshirt in 2005, Washington did not appear in any games in 2006. He saw his first action in 2007 and played in four games, finishing with 2 tackles (1 solo). He had 1 unassisted tackle in limited action in 2008 as a sophomore.
High school: In his final two seasons, Washington had 81 tackles and 4 interceptions. He also carried the ball 102 times for 521 yards and four TDs as a senior quarterback and completed 36 of 88 passes for 745 yards and two TDs. He also lettered in basketball and track and field.
