ABILENE, Texas – Abilene Christian University is celebrating generations of Wildcat tradition with the launch of The Wildcat Vault, a vintage-inspired merchandise collection featuring some of the most recognizable marks in the history of ACU. The collection debuted during Homecoming, bringing together iconic logos spanning nearly a century of Wildcat history, giving fans an opportunity to reconnect with the marks that have represented ACU throughout the decades.
The Wildcat Vault features designs dating back to the 1920s, when the institution competed as Abilene Christian College, along with the familiar Wildcat marks introduced during the 1970s and 2000s. Each logo represents a different chapter in ACU Athletics' history, reflecting the evolution of the department while celebrating the traditions that have remained constant across generations of Wildcats.
The launch also made its way onto the football field during Homecoming weekend. ACU's football team wore the 2000s-era interlocking ACU logo on its helmets during a dominant 59-0 victory over West Georgia, bringing a familiar piece of Wildcat history back into the spotlight.
From the early days of Abilene Christian College to the distinctive Wildcat imagery that became synonymous with ACU in later decades, the collection highlights the visual identity of a program that has continued to evolve while maintaining its connection to the past. The vintage line offers fans a chance to wear a piece of that history, whether it's a logo they remember from their time on campus, a design they grew up seeing at athletic events or a mark they're discovering for the first time.
